Oct 29 - 2012
With the first meetings of LCHF that were held in each of the 7 partners municipalities, the Forums move forward to become the real motor of the process.
Between 17-24 October, first inaugural Local Cultural Heritage Forum meetings were held in 7 partner municipalities who have signed the Memorandum of Understanding for Local Cultural Heritage Plans: Gjilan/Gnjilane, Parteš/Partesh, Gjakova/Đakovica, Rahovec/Orahovac, Kaçanik/Kačanik, Dragash/Dragaš and Vushtrri/Vučitrn.
The meetings were of inaugural and informative nature, where participants learned about CHwB’s work for the past 10 years, about Local Cultural Heritage Plans (LCHP) process and methodology in details, responsibilities of all parties, what will municipalities and communities gain from these plans and what are the next steps on short term (up to end of 2012) and long term activities (from 2013-2015).
At the meetings were present representatives from partner local municipalities and central level institutions (like Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports, Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning, Ministry of Trade and Industry), UN-Habitat and Regional Centre for Environment (REC), along with different civil society representatives from NGOs and individuals from respective municipalities. More important, mayors and deputy mayors greeted the start of this important process and gave their support.
