CHwB Kosovo is a civil society organization dedicated to protecting, restoring, and celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage. Since 2001, we have been actively involved in restoring historic buildings, promoting traditional crafts, and supporting creative projects that connect communities with their history. Our work goes beyond preservation. We empower local communities through education, hands-on training, and creative initiatives, ensuring that cultural heritage becomes a living part of everyday life. By combining traditional techniques with innovative approaches, we foster sustainable social and economic development while keeping Kosovo’s history alive for future generations.

What We Do:

  • Restoration & Adaptive Reuse: We restore historic buildings using traditional techniques while creating opportunities for local craftsmen and young practitioners.

  • Creative & Educational Projects: Through art, research, and cultural initiatives, we help communities explore and engage with their heritage in new, meaningful ways.

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: By analyzing cultural and socio-economic data, we prioritize interventions that create lasting impact.

  • Community & Network Building: We connect local and international experts, institutions, and civil society organizations to strengthen collaboration and cultural exchange.

At CHwB Kosovo, we believe that cultural heritage is not just a link to the past it is a resource for building a more inclusive, creative, and sustainable future.
