Through the support of the Swiss association for cultural heritage Schweizer Heimatschutz, CHwB office in Kosovo has started the emergency intervention of the Kulla of Mustafë Dukaj in the village Drenoc of the Municipality of Deçan. The foreseen interventions include the consolidation of the roof and floor slab construction, the creation of access to the building and revitalization of the guest chamber.

The Kulla of Mustafë Dukaj is a three-story stone Kulla (Vernacular house), typical of the Dukagjini region (western Kosovo). Despite its value, it has no legally protected status. Its structure is threatened and as such it is considered at risk.

With the initiative of the CHwB office in Kosovo and financial support of the Swiss association, the building will now be saved from further degradation. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
