Job description:
The Castle is located in the centre of Vushtrri and is one of the most important cultural heritage sites in
the city. Castle is suffering an ongoing damage due to traffic pollution and fast urban growing.
Emergency interventions in order to prevent further deterioration have been foreseen. The project
funded by the US Embassy and implemented by CHwB will be concentrated in three objectives:
-Perform emergency conservation of the main castle walls to prevent further deterioration of the castle ruins.
-Complete a comprehensive survey and draft an assessment and guidelines report for further actions.
-Contributing to develop the local capacities capable to manage with cultural heritage sites both protection and promotion and raising awareness on cultural heritage preservation among the civil society of Vushtrri.
Sustainability principles will be constantly linked to these objectives.

Responsibilities
The incumbent will contribute to these objectives through the following tasks:
-Data collection, analysis of existent documentation and surveys to elaborate a data analysis and interpretation report.
-Participation in a multidisciplinary work‐team to deliver:
oa study to be carried out for the emergency works
oa study including assessment and guidelines for further actions
-Visits to the work site and control of the quality of daily works. Minutes of these visits
Deliverance:
-Inception report based on data analysis and interpretation of existent situation
-Report on strategies and actions for the emergency works
-Report of guidelines for further steps

Requirements:
-University degree or equivalent on Archeology, Art Historian
-At least 3 years of experience on Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage in Kosovo and/or in the region
-At least 3 years of supervisory experience on conservation and restoration projects.
-Knowledge on Sustainability principles related to your profile and your experience.
-Written and oral skills both English and Albanian.
-Teamwork skills in order to integrate a multidisciplinary group.
-Willingness for sharing experience with senior students that will participate in the project.
