New knowledge and skills for high standards in tourism

Individuals from SME’s, tourism operators and NGO’s oriented in tourism sector from the Western part of Kosovo during the April and May 2012 will be part of several trainings which will ensure professional development of this sector. Trainings will kick-off from 12 April 2012 and they are held in Peja & Dranoc (Decan). Trainings are part of ‘See you in Dukagjin’ Tourism Development Project and Diversifying Economic Activity in the Region West “DEAR WEST”, both funded by EU, managed by European Office in Kosovo and implemented by Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB) and MEDF (Macedonia) – respectively.

Nearly 260 participants from Peja/Pec, Decan/Decani, Klina/Klina, Istog/Istok and Junik/Junik will be able to increase their theoretical and vocational skills with participation in the following trainings:
•Networking for tourism growth
•Hospitality, ethics and administration of B&B
•Cultural tourism
•Modern hospitality
•Business models in tourism

Continuous professional development and capacity building of individuals oriented in tourism sector will ensure that Kosovo western region sets high standards of hospitality which is compulsory for stimulation of local economic growth and conformity with tourism standards in the region.
