In the framework of the EU/CoE Joint Project “Support to the Promotion of Cultural Diversity in Kosovo” (PCDK), Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB) is organizing a series of site visits to natural and cultural heritage monuments of Kosovo, taking place between October and December 2010.
As an educational development component of PCDK, these visits aim at increasing the awareness of cultural heritage importance as a shared heritage of Kosovo population, involvement of marginalized groups, youngsters, students and professors, having equal access to the sites of natural and cultural heritage of Kosovo.
One of the eight NGOs involved in implementing and organising PCDK activities in the Prizren municipality, CHwB has implemented five site visits among ten foreseen till the end of this year, taking an active role in community outreach as well as contribute to the approach of ‘culture of community’ practice.
The promotion of intercultural dialogue sessions, taking place after each site visit, emphasizes the need for coexistence between the individual and groups, who should remain free to practice their own cultures and religions, while respecting the views of others.
