Arbenita Gashi

Architect

Arbenita Gashi Kurti is an architect for the adaptive reuse of historic buildings and sites in CHwB Kosovo. Arbenita graduated from the University of Prishtina, Faculty of Architecture where she continued her postgraduate studies and received the title Master of Science. She was engaged in CHwB Kosovo in 2015, initially as an architectural intern for emergency interventions of some historic buildings and then as an architect in the project Detailed Regulatory Plan for the historical area of the Municipality of Vushtrri. For three years she led the annual Heritage Space program - a program for the development of creative ideas from various fields of the creative industry for the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage. During the three editions of the Heritage Space, 21 projects from the various creative fields have been realized. Additionally, in 2019 she worked at Baubüro Insitu in Basel, Switzerland. A pioneer company with a focus on sustainability through the transformation of existing buildings and sites that have lost their primary function, with minimal interventions.
