Adea Mekuli is a senior project manager and urban development professional with over a decade of experience in strategic development, spatial planning, and cultural heritage, working at national, regional, and international levels. She currently serves as Program Manager of Integrated Planning and Intelligence Program , where she leads the design and implementation of System-Wide Cultural Districts as a long term, evidence based model for regional development in Kosovo.
Her work focuses on strategic territorial planning and the integration of culture and creativity into local economic development frameworks. She has led the establishment of regional cooperation mechanisms across Kosovo, strengthening coordination between municipalities, public institutions, civil society organisations, and local communities. Adea is also responsible for the development of the organisation’s multidisciplinary data platform, a digital system supporting the documentation, analysis, and strategic use of data, including cultural heritage assets.
Adea is a former Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Department of Urban Studies and Planning, and holds an MSc in Architectural Engineering: Environmental Design from the University of Bath. She holds a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification in project management and a Project Cycle Management certification from the International Labour Organization, among other qualifications.
Beyond her professional work, she maintains a strong personal commitment to protecting the environment, nature, and animals.
