Arbenita Gashi-Kurti is an architect with over ten years of experience and holds a Master of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Pristina. She has been part of Cultural Heritage Without Borders (CHwB) since 2015, contributing to documentation, architectural design, and supervision of cultural heritage assets.
During 2026–2027, CHwB Kosovo will implement the project “Conservation Plan of the Archaeological Site of Ulpiana – Iustiniana Secunda,” within which Arbenita will lead and contribute to the organization of workshops, the development of the architectural program, and the conceptualization of the masterplan. Previously, she was part of the project “Conservation and Development of the Archaeological Site in Dresnik,” where she was engaged in the digital documentation of the site, development of the masterplan, design of the Visitor Center, protective structure for Roman mosaics, and visitor infrastructure.
Her professional experience includes the implementation of conservation and adaptive reuse projects within programs funded by the European Union. Additionally, for three consecutive years, she led the Heritage Space program, an interdisciplinary platform for developing creative ideas in the field of cultural heritage, through which 21 projects were realized.
Arbenita has also worked at the architecture studio Baubüro in situ in Basel, Switzerland, a company focused on sustainable architecture and adaptive reuse. Her approach is based on minimal intervention, reversibility, and sustainability, while respecting cultural, social, and historical values.
