Edona Rugova

Program Coordinator
Edona Rugova is a cultural heritage professional with extensive experience in heritage management, museum development, and community-based cultural programming. Prior to joining Cultural Heritage without Borders (CHwB) Kosovo, she contributed to key national heritage initiatives through her work with the Archaeological Institute of Kosovo, where she was part of the team involved in the establishment of the Archaeological Park of Ulpiana. She also worked with the National Museum of Kosovo, contributing to the development and curation of its permanent archaeological exhibition.

Since 2019, Edona has been part of CHwB Kosovo, where she plays an active role in the design and implementation of cultural heritage projects that combine conservation, education, and community engagement. Her work focuses particularly on developing participatory programs, educational workshops, and publications aimed at increasing public access to and appreciation of cultural heritage.

She is currently leading the functionalization and long-term institutional development of the Mother Teresa Museum in Prizren, overseeing its strategic programming, operational framework, and sustainable activation as a cultural and educational space.

Edona holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Painting, a background that informs her interdisciplinary approach to heritage interpretation and creative educational initiatives. Beyond her professional work, she is an active member of the Federation of Billiards of Kosovo and a committed supporter of the regional art scene.
