On Saturday, the two-day Youth Camp on Cultural Heritage concluded, where young people had the opportunity to learn, discuss, and actively engage in preserving cultural heritage in their communities. ☺
The second day of the camp focused on the role of the community and institutions in safeguarding cultural heritage. The activities began with a presentation by representatives of the Unit for the Protection of Cultural and Religious Heritage: Major Besim Hoti and Major Drazho Bozhoviq, who spoke about the role of the Kosovo Police in protecting cultural heritage. 👮
Afterwards, the session “Heritage as a Civic Responsibility” gave young participants the opportunity to work in small groups to discuss concrete ways of protecting heritage through civic engagement, under the guidance of Arbër Leshi, Managing Director of Bone Vet, Gjakova. The groups presented their ideas on preserving cultural heritage in their communities, reflecting on what they had learned during the camp. The activity concluded with a cultural heritage quiz, an evaluation of the camp, the sharing of personal experiences, and a closing ceremony.
