Prizren used to be the city of crafts and handicrafts and the traces of these activities can still be seen today. In Prizren the most distinguished crafts were: the crafts’ of gunsmith, silversmith, cutlers, scissor-makers, coopersmith and tinsmith, the crafts;’ of tanners and saddlers, the crafts’ of white woolen cap makers, tailors’ and silk processors, the crafts’ of quilt makers, woolen gown makers and woolen rug-makers, the craft of watchmakers, the craft of pottery etc.
