The village of Hoqë e Madhe /Velika Hoča is situated south of the city of Rahovec, about 20 km west of Prizren. The village’s population is around 700, mainly Kosovo Serbs. It has a continental climate with Mediterranean and Alpine influences where the annual temperature ranges from -20 to 40C. It is highly favourable for viticulture, with the warm air currents in the Drini River valley also being beneficial to agriculture.
