PRIZREN has no time – ACTION is needed
Prizren has a stunning landscape shaped by God – who bestowed it with Lumbardhi River and all the revolving scenery – and awarded with life by a Man. This God-Man blending in Prizren rolls up from the early antiquity. Man, like any other living being, delights places with water, fertile land and suitable climate. Prizren has everything of that: almost Mediterranean climate, water, watercourses, springs,
fountains in every alley; and when going forth to Rahovec – abundant fertile lands, grapes and wine as
much as you want.
Man shaped himself a heaven in Prizren. He built houses, roads, bridges and a fortress. There he spoke to God in different languages ?- in the open, in church, mosque and tekke. They also built bazaars and namazgahs. Within those, craftsmen traded with Shkup/Skopje, Shkodra, Selanik/Thessaloniki and Istanbul. Kebabs, followed then with a home flavored coffee (in the Balkans we are still at odds whose coffee it is) and a baklava, makes ?me feel just like in Prizren. The rock band “Gjurmët” sing to the train for Prizren, an overture to the youth and love that liquefies with the charm of Prizren. Just recently, Prizren got a motorway, bringing you to Tirana. Although the city has been
deprived of its own logo, it accommodates the most paramount festival in these parts – Dokufest.
