Main Project Objectives
- Document and promote the culinary traditions of the Dukagjini region as part of its intangible cultural heritage.
- Strengthen cultural identity by showcasing traditional recipes, food preparation methods, and local agricultural practices.
- Engage local communities in the process of heritage preservation, ensuring intergenerational transmission of knowledge.
Main Project Outcomes
- Research conducted on the culinary traditions of the Dukagjini region, across six municipalities.
- Publication of the book “Shijet e Dukagjinit”, documenting food preparation techniques, local agricultural practices and traditional recipes.
- Oral histories collected from local communities, preserving authentic narratives on food heritage.
- Increased awareness of gastronomy as a driver for tourism and sustainable economic development.
